'Tour de Paris' with Alex Roose

Join Ensemble Galante for a wander through the streets and churches of Paris circa 1700. Hear the bells of the churches, the songs on the streets, and stop in for prayer at chapel or cafe at a salon... Featuring gorgeous music by Charpentier, Couperin and Telemann, with the dark basso voice of special guest Alex Roose.

Returning to Adelaide in 2017 after ten years in the UK, Alex has become much in demand as a soloist and ensemble singer. During his time in the UK Alex enjoyed a varied performance career including over 100 concerts at St Martin-in-the Fields, regular broadcasts on BBC radio and television, and gave recitals throughout the UK and continental Europe. He has also made recordings for Chandos, Hyperion, Delphian, and Signum records.

'Alex Roose's vampiric Polyphemus showed a confident technique and impressive low notes in "O ruddier than the cherry".'  Adelaide Advertiser.
